Python in hiding

Posted By:
Pythons are ambush predators. They remain motionless and camouflaged for long periods, waiting to strike at prey. They’re generally calm but may strike defensively if approached.
Look for thick-bodied, patterned scales resembling dried leaves or bark. No visible venomous fangs, and they have slit-like pupils. May appear as a coil or twisted shape under dense cover. Can grow very long, but juveniles are commonly mistaken for other snakes.
Stay calm and keep your distance. Do not attempt to touch or remove it. Call your local snake handler or animal rescue team immediately. Keep children and pets away from the area.
DO: Observe from a safe distance Inform neighbors if in a community space Contact a professional for safe relocation DON’T: Attempt to capture or kill the snake Throw objects or try to scare it away Leave pets unattended near the area
